It seems that the hermitage of the Mare de Deu de Farners was built on a chapel, of which no remains remain. Of the Romanesque building consecrated in 1200, the semicircular apse and a section of the nave remain. In the 18th century it was expanded by adding an elliptical dome transept and a spacious covered atrium, in Baroque style. The Mare de Deu de Farners is venerated there, also of Romanesque carving, but to see the original figure you must go to the parish church , in the center of the municipality, where it is preserved in the conditions required for a carving from the Romanesque period.
