La Cellera de Ter is a municipality that lives in constant dialogue with the river Ter and the landscape of the valley. It is a place where the presence of water, recent history and the natural surroundings combine to offer a close, serene and authentic experience.
The town lies at the foot of Les Guilleries, where the River Ter leaves this mountain range. However, water is also present in many other places, including the Osor stream, the Pasteral reservoir and numerous fountains, washhouses, industrial canals and more. The Carrilet Greenway also runs through the municipality, providing an easy way to explore all these sites.
But the history of La Cellera de Ter has been written since ancient times, as shown by the Pasteral Caves, which were already used as a necropolis during the Neolithic period. After a long period of restoration and interpretation, you can now enjoy this very unique place.
