Pasteral Caves and Canet Mountain

The natural and archaeological space dissemination center has a permanent exhibition of scientific reproductions of the most relevant archaeological pieces excavated in the Pasteral caves. Located in the Cellera de Ter , it also has information in physical and audiovisual format about the archaeological sites and natural values of the Canet mountain.

The Pasteral caves are the most important caves in the region of La Selva and the Guilleries massif. Beyond their obvious geological interest, inside they contain an archaeological site that is key to understanding the first communities of shepherds and farmers who settled in the area. They have an important colony of bats and cave fauna.
