Romanesque church dating back to the 12th century. Since it was built, few alterations have been carried out on the chapel of Sant Just i Sant Pastor del Plademunt. Despite the fact that the large bell-gable, the doorway with a semi-circular arch on the western façade, the vestry and the buttresses are all very striking, this is clearly a Romanesque building: the rectangular nave and the semi-circular apse that make up the base of the building are evidence of this.
During the 15th century, with the famous earthquakes of 1427, it was damaged and partially rebuilt. The existence of buttresses on the northern side may be related to the damage caused by these 15th-century earthquakes. The town of La Cellera de Ter held this chapel in great esteem and its saints defended were its defenders in times of severe drought. Processions to the chapel were organised to pray for rain and, during the year, at Easter, people would go there in representation of the town’s different social sectors. On the days of the gatherings, they would dance sardanes there. Nowadays, the gathering is held on Easter Monday morning and ends with a truitada popular (omelette festival). Another meeting, known as the Aplec de Tardor (Autumn Gathering) is held on 6 December.
