La Selva has over 350 km of paths allowing you to explore the region along the coast, the plain, and the mountains. This network makes it easy to design your own itineraries and discover the area on your own.
The network includes forest tracks, greenways, and low-traffic roads, with routes suited for different difficulty levels. The favorable climate throughout most of the year makes outdoor activities enjoyable.
Network Signage
On the ground, you will notice that the Hiking Network is marked with small yellow plaques indicating that you are on the Network. Occasionally, you may find that it is shared with the Cycle Touring Network, which is reflected on the plaques themselves. In any case, you will always see the icon of walking figures and the word “senderisme” (hiking).
To help you choose your destination, directional trail signs are placed at major network intersections. These complement the small plaques by showing directions and distances to the nearest towns or points of interest.
