Town Square of Hostalric

The Town Square, the oldest in Hostalric, has its origins in the 12th century with the formation of the first medieval urban core. This core expanded thanks to the market privileges and the charter of population (carta de poblament) that King Jaume I granted to Viscount Guerau V de Cabrera. Initially, this square hosted the Town Hall of Hostalric until its relocation to the current location.
