Located at the foot of the hill on which the castle stands, the current Gothic church building, dating from the late 16th or early 17th century, replaced the original temple that no longer exists. Notable features include the single nave, polygonal apse, side chapels, ribbed vault and various Renaissance and Baroque details on the façade and bell tower. The church was sacked and burnt down in 1809, during the Spanish War of Independence, and also in 1936 at the beginning of the Spanish Civil War.
