Feast of Sant Miquel

The Sant Miquel Festival of Hostalric is traditionally celebrated on the last weekend of September. It is one of the most popular festivities in the town. It lasts four days and combines popular culture, a craft fair, and historical activities.

This festival takes place in several areas of the municipality, including the old town, historic squares, and castle of Hostalric.

The main events of the program include the Napoleonic camp, accompanied by a historical reenactment featuring demonstrations of military life, troop drills, and a large simulated battle with groups of “miquelets”. There is also the Gastroart Fair, a market of handmade and local products located in the streets of the town. Other highlights include a wine tasting, popular culture activities such as sardana performances, folk dance shows, a lacemakers’ gathering, and family-friendly performances. The festival also features cover music concerts and the traditional popular “botifarrada” (grilled sausage meal).
