The Ararà Tower stands 22 metres in height and is one of the most noble and well-preserved medieval constructions in this fortified enclosure. It is the highest of the towers that adorn these defensive walls and features a complete crown of machicolations. A spiral staircase leads up to the tower’s viewing terrace, which offers excellent views of both the historic quarter and the Castle of Hostalric.
The spiral staircase takes you up to the lookout on the top of the tower, where you can regain your strength while admiring the 360° panoramic view. Do you recognise the castle in the distance? It belonged to the House of Cabrera, just like Castle of Hostalric!
