The hermitage of Mare de Déu de les Fonts is located in a particularly unique natural setting, next to the Crosa de Sant Dalmai volcano, within the municipality of Vilobí d’Onyar. It is a small rural sanctuary closely linked to the natural spring that gives it its name, a place where heritage and nature coexist directly.
The building features simple architecture that is well integrated into the landscape: a rectangular floor plan with a single nave, a defined apse, and a façade with a stone voussoir portal, side windows and an upper oculus. The bell gable crowns the ensemble, reinforcing its humble and rural character, while the outdoor space is organized around the spring and the pond.
The site has a long tradition of popular devotion, documented at least since the 18th century. The current image of the Mare de Déu dates from the 1950s, and in 1995 the spring area and its surroundings were restored, enhancing the heritage and landscape value of this small sanctuary.
