Near the former Carrilet stop at the Fountain Picant and the Fountain de l’Abeurador, we find the Carlins Fountain or Carlí Fountain, one of the most visited. The spring, located between the path and the stream, is a small house-shaped structure with a pitched roof. Built in stone and exposed masonry, from the slightly recessed front a metal spout emerges from which the water flows, highly appreciated by the inhabitants of Amer.
The Carlists were great experts in the orography of this area and took advantage of its dense vegetation for guerrilla warfare. Between 26 and 27 January 1849, during the Second Carlist War, the final confrontation between Carlists and Liberals took place, in which the Carlist leader Ramon Cabrera was wounded. If you continue walking up the track, you reach the Famades threshing floor, a farmhouse that is currently in ruins. Very close by is the Famades holm oak, a centuries-old tree that stands out for its grandeur and beauty.
