The fountain known as Font Alta is located in the town centre of Amer, attached to a private house. Access to the fountain is via a wide staircase. The construction, which is quite modern, is plastered and painted yellow, and sits under a semi-circular arch. The spout is framed by two masonry benches. The fountain is so named because it is the highest fountain in the municipality.
