The Aplec de la Mare de Déu del Coll, in Susqueda, is traditionally celebrated every May 1st at the Sanctuary of the Mare de Déu del Coll. This festival is a cultural, religious and gastronomic gathering jointly organized by the town councils of Susqueda and Osor.
The day begins with a solemn mass inside the sanctuary, continues with a concert by local choirs —such as the Josep Ruhí Choir of Bescanó and the Rosó Choir of Osor— and ends with vermouth and a popular lunch. Usually, lunch consists of a large rice dish at the Restaurant del Coll, with privileged views of the Guilleries, the Collsacabra, the Susqueda reservoir and the Osor valley.
