Gathering at the Shrine of Our Lady of el Far is traditionally celebrated on the last Sunday of August in the municipality of Susqueda (Girona). This is a deeply rooted celebration of brotherhood where neighbors and visitors gather in one of the most emblematic points in the Selva region.
This festival maintains a classic structure that combines, on the one hand, religious devotion, such as the solemn mass in the morning inside the El Far Sanctuary, often accompanied by the singing of a choir, and, on the other hand, popular and recreational activities, such as the brotherhood meal, sardanas, and games for young and old.
The day ends with the singing of the farewells, accompanied by the traditional chocolate or a snack of coca, fuet, and cava for all attendees.
