Susqueda is a municipality of great scenic richness, marked by the mountains, the reservoir and several scattered settlements. The construction of this hydraulic infrastructure in the 1960s profoundly transformed the territory and left the old village of Susqueda under water.
Today, this municipality is an ideal place to enjoy nature and hiking, with routes that connect some of its most emblematic sites, such as Mare de Déu del Coll, el Far and its cliffs, Sant Martí Sacalm, the reservoir and the Castle of Fornils.
During periods of drought, when the water level drops considerably, the Roman bridge of Queròs emerges again, allowing the reservoir to be crossed and Sant Martí de Queròs to be reached, an ancient territory linked to the bandit Serrallonga.
