The route is named after one of the region’s most iconic landmarks: Montsoriu Castle. A visit to the castle (off the route) is highly recommended, as it is considered the most important Gothic castle in Catalonia and was the seat of the Viscounts of Cabrera. Another highlight is the magnificent panoramic view of the region and Montseny from the top of the hill.
