The first historical mention of Can Blanc dates back to 1308 when Pere d’Hostalric declared that he had the Mas Blanc d’Arbúcies for the Viscount of Cabrera. The Mas also appears documented in the Capbreu of 1313, and later it is documented in the Fogatge de la Batllia de n’Orri of 1497 and 1515.
Can Blanc is a 16th century farmhouse made up of several buildings and with a major renovation at the end of the 19th century that changed its original appearance. The main house has a rectangular plan made up of three floors and attics, with slopes on the sides. Perpendicularly attached to the facade is a chapel dedicated to Sant Josep in a neo-Romanesque style. One of the most outstanding elements, however, the result of the 19th century remodeling, is the hexagonal tower, crowned by battlements, with three floors and topped with corsairs.
