A granite rock with several small crosses engraved on it and a mark that looks like a footprint.
Its origin is uncertain. Legend has it that, in the hills around Caules, the Devil challenged Sant Martí to see who could jump furthest. Sant Martí was first to jump and reached all the way to L’Esparra, while the devil fell into Sils Lake. The impression that the saint left when he landed on the rock is known as Sant Martí’s footprint.
Joan Amades recorded this legend in 1915 as recounted to him by the priest, Father Planes, who said that “on a crag on the royal way from Lloret to Vidreres, there is another footprint left by the same saint.”
