The Hostalric town hall and the centre cultural Serafí Pitarra are located in what was formerly the Convent of Sant Francesc de Paula, founded in 1610. Abandoned in 1835 following the disentailment of Mendizábal, in 1924 the architect Bonaventura Conill transformed it into the building we see today.
