Font Pudosa – Amer

Around half a kilometre up the path from the Romanesque church of Sant Marçal del Colomer, lies the curious Pudosa del Colomer spring, or Font Pudosa, a small elongated pool where the swirling of carbon dioxide and radon bubbles can be heard as they emerge and break on the surface. This is due to the geographical location of Amer, which sits over an active fault that runs for approximately 30 kilometres between the regions of La Selva and La Garrotxa.
