In the Viscounty of Cabrera, trade was very dynamic and was well represented by markets, its highest expression. It was organised around communication routes linking the various towns and urban centres, and it also had good connections to the maritime routes.
The Mill of the Pipes bridge was linked to the road network of the Viscounty of Cabrera, since several communication routes ran through this area, connecting the Arbúcies valley with Santa Maria de Lliors, Sant Marçal del Montseny and, towards the Coll de Revell, with Osona. The present bridge, possibly of Romanesque origin and with a single arch, has a semicircular arcade beneath which the marks of the formwork used to build the vault can still be seen.Subscribe to the newsletter
