The Ethnological Museum of Montseny, La Gabella (MEMGA) is currently one of the main heritage dissemination centers in the south of the Girona region. Created in 1985, the MEMGA has a surface area of 2,600m2. The museum is located in the center of the Vila d’ Arbúcies in a building from the early 17th century that has been completely remodeled and adapted.
Throughout its 16 rooms, visitors can observe what is considered one of the best ethnological collections in the country. It also has an exceptional collection of medieval archaeology, from archaeological interventions at Montsoriu Castle.
The Cabrera Space, Interpretation Centre of the Viscounty of Cabrera, complements the permanent exhibition rooms of the MEMGA. In addition, there is a new entrance hall to the complex, a large screening room, with capacity for 70 people, where films are projected
