Sils sardana gathering

The Sils Gathering is a celebration with a long and deep-rooted tradition in the municipality, with more than sixty editions that have made this gathering an essential event for lovers of the sardana and Catalan popular culture. True to tradition, it is held every year on the second Sunday of September, filling the town with music, dance, and brotherhood. Throughout the day, the covered rink becomes a meeting space where Sardana dances, competitions, and various festive activities are combined that keep the spirit of the gathering alive.

Circles that open and close to the beat of the cobla, hands linked, short, long, tresos, and saltas. The Aplec de Sils comes from afar and carries with it the memory and history of many generations that have made the sardana much more than a dance: a way of sharing culture, identity, and community.
