This route starts and finishes on the Mar Promenade, opposite Sa Palomera. It begins by following S’Abanell Beach towards the Tordera River, very close to its mouth. The route continues along a forest track running parallel to the river and passes beneath the road connecting Blanes and Palafolls. From here, it turns towards the Blanes Sports Complex and begins a gentle climb through fields and woodland to the Sanctuary of Our Lady of El Vilar.
From this point, the furthest point on the route, the return journey mainly follows a forest track back to the town centre and the starting point.
The route is signposted with vertical signs (trail signposts) and trail markings (a purple painted stripe).
