The Font of the Mina is a traditional hydraulic feature linked to the use of groundwater through a mine, a common system in rural environments that allowed water to be captured and brought to the surface. It is a place closely related to the daily life of the territory and to the historical use of springs as a supply point.
The site is characterized by the presence of a retaining wall that provides access to the water capture and by a simple masonry structure that organizes the outflow. The water comes from an underground gallery (mina), which gives the place its name and constitutes the essential part of the hydraulic system.
Beyond its construction simplicity, the Font of the Mina is part of the municipality’s ethnographic heritage, representing the historical relationship between water, territory and human activity in the rural environment.
