Section Tourdera Riells i Viabrea – Breda

The Riells i Viabrea–Breda section is an easy route, 3.8 kilometres long, with a total ascent of 83 metres. Almost the entire route follows a cycle path separated from traffic. Around 800 metres from the start of the section, you will pass through the village of Viabrea, where the railway station is located. While much of the cycle path is paved (between Breda and Viabrea), the section between Can Salvà and Viabrea follows an unpaved compacted gravel path.

At the start of the section, in Plaça de la Vila in Riells i Viabrea, you will find several parking areas and a range of services, including a bar, a library and a primary healthcare centre. The route begins at Can Salvà (Town Hall), where you will find the route information panel and route markers (small urban wayfinding signs).

The Tourdera section between Riells i Viabrea (Can Salvà) and Breda is a very easy route, almost 4 km in length, with a cumulative ascent of just 83 metres. The route begins at the information panel located at Can Salvà (Riells i Viabrea Town Hall), in Plaça de la Vila. Following the directions indicated by the urban signposts, you will head towards the village of Viabrea along an unpaved cycle path separated from traffic and running parallel to the GI-552 road.

Once you reach Viabrea, you may make a short detour to visit the railway station, or continue towards Breda along the cycle path that once again runs parallel to the GI-552 road. This section is also separated from traffic, but is paved with asphalt.

Throughout the route, it is important to remain on the marked itinerary and follow the recommendations for respecting the natural environment.

Upon arriving in Breda, you will head towards the Monastery of Sant Salvador, where this section of the route comes to an end. Throughout the town, you will also find a variety of services, including bars, restaurants and other amenities.
