Within the framework of the Destination Sustainability Plan for Selva Interior, the Consell Comarcal de la Selva has developed one of the actions included in the climate culture, education, and participation line of work.

The objective of this project has been to highlight real-world experiences that demonstrate that change is possible, reinforcing positive role models and encouraging the involvement of other regional stakeholders.

Two of the featured experiences are those of Marsol Hotels and Evenia Hotels. Both companies have promoted concrete climate change adaptation actions and already have tangible results, implemented systems, and a clear commitment to keep making progress in this area.

A third selected experience is that of the Marimurtra Botanical Garden. Its inclusion responds to a complementary and strategic criterion, as it represents a unique example of sustainable natural resource management. Its activity is closely linked to environmental preservation and the conservation of Mediterranean species. Furthermore, it develops advanced practices in efficient water management and organic matter circularity, addressing the main climate challenges identified in the territorial study and bringing a complementary perspective linked to natural heritage and ecological management.

The videos presented below help contextualize these actions within each entity’s strategy and connect them with the region’s actual climate challenges. These are fully operational, already implemented experiences with a sufficient level of maturity to serve as inspiring demonstration cases for other organizations.
