Can Vidal Bridge is one of those elements that often go unnoticed, but that clearly explain how the territory has been crossed and inhabited over the centuries. Located in the urban centre of Osor, between the Town Hall and the church of Sant Pere, it spans the Noguerola Stream with a discreet but highly significant presence.
It is a small stone bridge with a single slightly pointed arch, approximately 4 metres high. It is built of stone, pebbles and mortar, following the traditional techniques of rural bridges, with low parapets and a very natural integration into the surroundings.
Although it is considered to be of medieval origin, its current form may correspond to a reconstruction from the second half of the 15th century, after the damage caused by the earthquakes of 1427, which severely affected the bridge network of the Osor valley. Today, although no longer in regular use, it remains an essential part of the village’s historical landscape.
