Sardana d’Anglès Gathering

The Sardana d’Anglès Gathering is a sardana gathering that is held in the Font del Canyó Park.

On June 19, 1955, under the trees of Can Burés, the Montgrins band started the first Sardana Gathering in Anglès. Since then, it has become a deeply rooted tradition in the municipality: dedicating an entire day, from morning to evening, to dancing and listening to sardanas.

The Aplec takes place every year on the third Sunday of June and brings together groups and participants from all over Catalonia. During the day, the Floricel Rosa d’Or Award is also presented, a recognition for people who have stood out for their work in promoting the sardanas and Catalan traditions.
