The Centre Artesà de la Torneria is an exhibition with a demonstration area where you can observe and discover how, with perseverance and dedication, a log can be transformed into a turned piece.
The woodturning trade has historically been rooted in the town of Sant Hilari Sacalm , with documents attesting to this profession dating back to the 14th century. This job consists of working with wood to turn it into an artistic piece.
The exhibition features machinery, old tools and also samples of wood from the trees of Les Guilleries.
