L’Embruix is a cultural and nocturnal festival inspired by the legends and stories of witches who centuries ago roamed the forests of Les Guilleries, an ideal refuge for fantastic beings and ancestral stories. This festival is designed to recover the popular stories of women persecuted for witchcraft and the myths of the local forests.
This event has been held between June and July since 2009 and attracts many visitors. It includes activities such as an esoteric market with products related to magic, minerals, and medicinal herbs; magical gastronomy with themed proposals; activities and workshops consisting of tarot readings; talks on mysticism; and options for the whole family. That said, El sàbat de bruixes, guilla que fuig! is the central theater and music show of the festival, which features the participation of more than 80 actors and tours the forests and streets of the municipality at night.
