Breda

Discover Breda

Breda is a municipality with a strong historical footprint, known for its rich monumental heritage. Its old town preserves spaces of great value, where medieval history and the everyday life of the town remain very much present. Among the most outstanding elements are the imposing medieval tower of the Monestir de Sant Salvador, 32 metres high, together with the Abadia courtyard and the cloister, which have become true landmarks.

The municipality also has a long artisan tradition and is especially recognised for its ceramic and pottery production, which dates back several centuries.

Its proximity to the Montseny and the castle of Montsoriu makes Breda an excellent starting point for family excursions. As a curiosity, Breda gained great popularity when it became the setting for the series “Ventdelplà” by Televisió de Catalunya.
