The exhibition space tells the history of Anglès from prehistory to industrialization. It highlights the medieval origin and the key role of the Burés textile factory, inaugurated in 1887. This industry transformed the local economy, previously based on agriculture and forestry. It also promoted urban growth, the arrival of the railway and pioneering electric lighting.
The exhibition highlights the landscape and natural resources of the Anglès valley —river, forest and geology— as economic drivers, with activities such as forestry, mining and the use of hydraulic energy.
One of the main areas is dedicated to the Burés factory, where its operation, technological evolution, work organization and production processes are explained. The visit is completed by spaces such as the steam engine, the coal sheds and the boilers.
