The Gathering of the Sanctuary of Our Lady of the Lighthouse is traditionally celebrated on the last Sunday of August in the municipality of Susqueda (Girona). This is a deeply rooted celebration of brotherhood where neighbors and visitors gather in one of the most emblematic points in the Selva region.
This festival maintains a classic structure that combines, on the one hand, religious devotion, such as the solemn mass in the morning inside the Lighthouse Sanctuary, often accompanied by the singing of a choir, and, on the other hand, popular and recreational activities, such as the brotherhood meal, sardanas and games for young and old.
The day ends with the singing of the Farewells, accompanied by the traditional chocolate cake or a snack of coca, fuet and cava for all attendees.
