This route starts at the former Olot-Girona narrow-gauge railway station and crosses the centre of Anglès along North Street until it reaches the Bellveí Path. The ascent begins here and follows the GR 178 (Serrallonga Route) to the Santa Bàrbara Hermitage. The itinerary combines the main track leading up to the hermitage with numerous sections of narrow path that shorten the route, passing through forests of pines, holm oaks and chestnut trees.
Upon reaching the Santa Bàrbara Hermitage, at an altitude of 854 metres, you can enjoy a magnificent panoramic view of the Pyrenees, the Gulf of Roses, the Ter Valley, the La Selva Plain and the Les Guilleries mountain range.
From here, the route returns towards the town along a forest track. Before reaching it, you will pass the fully restored 11th-century Sant Amanç Hermitage.
The route is signposted with directional markers and trail markings (a yellow painted stripe).
