Abandoned in 1835 following the disentailment of Mendiz\u00e1bal, in 1924 the architect Bonaventura Conill transformed it into the building we see today.<\/p>\n<p>This building houses the Municipal Council. As you can read on the fa\u00e7ade, it is also called the Casa de la Vila (Town Hall). Do you know why? Because this is where the mayor and the councillors sit, who are elected by all the people of the town to represent them.
