Around Arb\u00facies there are more than a
\nhundred fonts, or water fountains, that have
\nbeen identified within the municipality. This is
\nyet another indication of the close and vital
\nrelationship the town has with water.
\nIn the different neighbourhoods of the town
\nthese include a number of so-called fonts de
\nbomba, which use a hydraulic or manual water
\npump to draw water from the water table via
\na nearby well. There are six of these in total,
\nand they are unique in that they are operated
\nmanually by pumping the water with a hand
\ncrank. The taps and mechanisms of these
\nfountains were made by the Casals-G\u00f3mez
\nfoundry in Girona in 1908.<\/p>\n

\nThe Font de Can Salau water fountain is located
\nin Carrer del Castell street. It was built in 1908,
