This is yet another indication of the close and vital relationship the town has with water. In the different neighbourhoods of the town these include a number of so-called fonts de bomba, which use a hydraulic or manual water pump to draw water from the water table via a nearby well. There are six of these in total, and they are unique in that they are operated manually by pumping the water with a hand crank. The taps and mechanisms of these fountains were made by the Casals-G\u00f3mez foundry in Girona in 1908.<\/p>\n<p>Font de Can Palau<br \/>\nThis water fountain stands next to Can Palau in the Castell neighbourhood of Arb\u00facies.
